I’ve said it elsewhere – I’m NOT a photographer. I won’t insult my many friends who make a living making light dance. I’m a writer who sometimes needs those thousand words to pad the word count. So I’m trying to learn. Below, see some of my attempts.
Current gear: Nikon D7100 – crop sensor camera. Lenses: the kit 18-140 f/3.5-5.6 ED VR, a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G, Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, and a Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. Some might come from the surprisingly-decent Samsung Galaxy S7 – it shoots RAW! Older shots came from a Sony A100 (really, a rebadged Minolta).
Note the photos of a pair of non-automotive models below. These are from an event hosted by Midwest Photo and Panasonic Lumix cameras, and are my first attempt at shooting both with mirrorless cameras and with professional models. I believe these were all shot with a Lumix G9 and the incredible Leica 42.5 f/1.2 lens.

More to come.
